Monthly Update from the miami project

Our FDA-regulated cellular therapy trials have provided a wealth of new information on how stem cell and Schwann cell transplantation can be successfully conducted while providing a platform of testing new therapeutics. The recent discovery that exosomes may be able to induce reparative mechanisms has provided a new cellular approach for our clinical trial initiatives. This therapy has the potential to benefit a wide range of diseases and conditions, from Multiple Sclerosis, and Alzheimer's disease to rheumatoid arthritis and traumatic brain injury based upon their anti-inflammatory and repair properties.

Our newest clinical trial is testing whether a device implanted in the body could be used to measure signals from the brain to be used to restore movement to individuals who are paralyzed. This is the first time anybody in the world has used this particular fully implanted device in an attempt to have a spinal cord injury patient achieve some restoration of function. The research participant is now moving his hands and arms!

We received FDA Approval to perform the world's first peripheral nerve transplant to repair the sciatic nerve in a girl whose leg was severed in a boating accident. One year after the transplantation, this individual is walking and has function and sensation in her leg. We have operated on 4 additional individuals with leg trauma and those who are post one year are walking again.

All these breakthroughs are happening because of your support!!
THANKS for helping us change history!
